There are few things more festive than bringing the outdoors in, even if it’s faux. Here are a few tips and endless inspiration for styling holiday greenery.
Whether you opt for natural or faux greenery, a little bit can go a long way in bringing a fresh and festive feel to your home. Greenery has a way of making any space come to life, especially during the holidays. We love filling our homes with lush textural elements that are simple but beautiful and experimenting with unique ways to style your holiday greenery is one of the perks of styling your holiday accessories each year. While many celebrate the tradition of decorating a tree, there are a few ways to bring personality to your home through wreaths and garlands as well. Whether you’re dressing up a real garland or want to add another dimension to your faux pieces, a little bit of inspiration can go a long way. If you’re looking for holiday greenery styling inspiration, keep scrolling to see some of our favorite ways to deck the halls with greenery.

01
Mix-and-Match
Garland is the perfect way to add a lot of texture and color to your holiday palette, and they can be shaped in a lot of different forms to bring instant life to every vignette. We love draping them off to one side on a mantel, styling them on shelving, tying them with ribbon on banisters, and placing them unexpectedly throughout the home for added interest. While there are times when a single garland will do the trick, we love mixing multiple pieces to add even more drama and dimension. Even mixing different types of greenery like pine and eucalyptus can go a long way in creating that freshly foraged look.

02
Add Embellishments
We love adding embellishments like ribbons, bells, and lights to our greenery to add a hint of texture or color. Plus, it’s a great way to bring some structure to natural greenery. Tying a long, loose bow at the top of a wreath or the end of a garland on a staircase can go a long way. Incorporating bells, ornaments, and natural elements like berries or pinecones, is another great way to elevate your greenery and make it feel personal. Add a little wire or twine and attach your additions to the wiring of the wreath or directly on the garland, and you have a custom creation. Lastly, adding lights to your garlands (or even wreaths!) is a great way to take the festive feelings up a notch.

03
Drape Unexpectedly
While we love styling wreaths on front doors, they can be styled all over the home. Hung along a star banister, in a window, on a mirror, or even on your kitchen hood or built-in shelving, they bring an unexpected festive element that is as playful as it is sophisticated.
