August has always felt like a quiet turning point. Even though the Utah sun is still shining strong and summer isn’t ready to let go, there’s a shift I start to feel this time of year. I find myself drawn to deeper, moodier hues—earthy browns, inky blues, and rich rust tones—and a craving for layers in both my wardrobe and my home. Maybe it’s the subtle way the light changes in the evenings or the rhythm of routines slowly creeping back in, but there’s an undeniable sense that fall is just around the corner. This month, I’m embracing that in-between feeling—holding onto summer’s ease while welcoming the richness and texture that autumn always brings.
